Harmony Lake Apartment Homes is a 217-unit Class A apartment community located on approximately 30 acres along Harvey Street in Fruitport Township, positioned between Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Norton Shores. The project was driven by market research and gap analysis that identified a clear need for Class A rental housing in the area. Despite steady population growth, the market had seen very little new multifamily construction over the previous 15 years, creating a meaningful opportunity for new development.
Development began with the acquisition of approximately 115 acres formerly operating as the Fruitport Golf Course and Banquet Center. From there, Cherette Group worked closely with Fruitport Township and surrounding agencies to secure Planned Unit Development (PUD) zoning, establishing the framework for a broader mixed-use vision that includes residential, retail, medical, and commercial uses.

Harmony Lake represents the first phase of that long-term plan.
